BIO

Zachary (Sipos) Arakelian, MT-BC, NMT is a performing jazz guitarist and a Board Certified Music Therapist with a specialty credential in Neurologic Music Therapy. He is also a MSDT Scuba diving instructor alongside his wife. He has over 20 years of experience as a performing musician, guitar instructor, and is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.   ​​

It was after his time in the Navy that he discovered the potential of music in helping people on a physiological and psychological level. Thus, he decided to pursue his B.A. in Music Therapy, while minoring in Psychology, at CSUN. His passion is to bring music to the lives of people, especially Veterans suffering from PTSD. 

 

After graduating with honors, Zachary is now a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), a Certified Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) trained at the R.F. Unkefer Academy for Neurologic Music Therapy, Co-Owner of Music Matterz, and founder of Zarakel Music. He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Administration.   

 

Zachary has played in big bands, combos, and solo performances. He currently performs as a solo artist in Los Angeles, CA. ​
